Chelsea Hall
Gilfach Goch
Chelsea Hall is an illustrator based in Rhondda Valleys in Wales, a location which inspires every aspect of her work. She lives at home with her parent and her gorgeous miniature schnauzer, Bertie, who is her biggest supporter. Chelsea enjoys using bright and fun colours, and exploring a wide range of subjects, and her illustrations reflect this in their unique and quirky style. She hopes to open an online shop with her mother soon, to sell cards, stickers and funky embroidery hangings.

“My graduate portfolio is based on Gilfach Goch, the former coal-mining village in which I live. It is under appreciated for its beauty, and the project aims to highlight various elements of the village through the mediums of embroidery, digital art and gouache. I also took part in the UN Women Comic & Cartoon competition, using my entry to highlight the sexualisation of young girls by the media.”
